SHARK FINNING!!!
Shark Finning is a horrible thing. Shark Finning is basically where they get the shark and cut their fins off and then throw them back in to sea they usually stay alive for a couple of days suffering and have a agonizing death. But then they are finless and cannot swim making them to sink down to the ocean bottom and DIE! Shark finning takes place at sea so the fishermen only need to transport the fins. Shark finning is widespread, largemanaged and unmonitored. Since shark meat is considered low value the carcass is thrown back into the ocean once the fin has been cut off or the fin is cut off when the shark is swimming near the top of the ocean. Shark fin soup is considered as wealth and prestige in China. WWF is one of the main organisations trying to stop shark finning in countries where it is legal. WWF is also trying to make people aware of this situation.

China has banned it.
Hong Kong has also banned it.
Malaysia has as well has banned it.
New Zealand has made it illegal unless the shark has died peacefully.
